A paid work opportunity at my university where I work with the Uni’s marketing team to create digital content for the university’s social pages and website. I also work the open days to represent my course and answer questions from potential applicants.

Stockroom Assistant
Paul Smith

A retail job working in the stockroom, keeping stock organised and structured to allow for smooth selling in the shop throughout the day. Computer skills are used to keep track of stock and delivery items. This job also requires clear communication with other branches of the Brand as well as having to communicate with customers through phone calls and email.

Quality Management Team
BMW (Oxford Mini plant)

I spent 1 week at the MINI plant in oxford in the QMT (quality management team). With this experience, I learnt how a mass production line in the automotive industry works and why quality is key. I learnt the importance of quality in a product also how a production line is managed along with suppliers to reach standards set by the company.

Aero Model Team
Toro Rosso Formula One Team

I did two weeks of educational work experience at Toro Rosso working in the model shop learning the ins and outs of the area of work by working with professionals in the industry. From this I learnt mechanical and engineering skills as well as human skills such as working within a big team to keep productivity up, and make sure all parts arrive at the next stage of production on time.
