This was a Group project that I produced in my 2nd year of University. The brief for this project was given by the Global Sustainability Institute and was to create a game that is based around the "Tragedy of the Commons" where the abuse or mismanagement of a limited resource can have adverse effects on everyone who use s and relies on it.
I was the lead gameplay programmer in a programming team of 3 and a total team size of 8. which included two artist and 3 designers. for this project I programmed the majority of the game mechanics present such as the building system using scriptable objects, the economy system, random events and system, day night cycle including time manipulation features and the games intro.
From this project I further learned of working in a team for a games production and further explored what each role plays in the process of creation and development. I also learned and gained experience of what's is like working with a set brief from an external company and how to produce a product that fits within their guidelines.
